Boone is 9 months!

Our baby is 9 months old! So close to one! I can't stand it!

He is a big old boy! Weighing 19 pounds, which is actually a little less than average to my surprise. But almost 5 pounds more than his sister did at 9 months! And half a pound less than Graham did, I think. He just started crawling for real, but mainly army crawls. He loves to eat and is eating more and more table food every day. He is trooper napping on the go and catching up when he can. His vocab consists of dadadadada (of course:) and a few squeals now and then.
The past two months have been a little rough with the flu, ear infections and some tummy trouble, but he still remains a happy kid most of the time. Boone loves his siblings, bath time, cheerios and smiles! Just give him a grin and he will give you one right back. It makes everyone feel good, even strangers in the grocery store. He is in that great stage of staying put and playing with toys on the floor. I know the fast crawling, opening of cabinets and making messes is upon us, but for now, it's nice to have a low maintenance baby. Love him so much!

MIMI's quick visit...

MIMI came in town for a very quick less than 24 hour visit. She will be on a trip for AL's 5th birthday, so she wanted to bring her birthday goodies.  She also brought Oskie back to us who had been loved on by MIMI and PawPaw since Christmas.  PawPaw loves him some Oskie!! Oskie gets way more attention at their house, so I am sure he was bummed to be back home. ha!

AL has wanted this for so long!!

 Oh, the coveted Dream Lite!
Thank you MIMI for making the trip! We love you!

Baby Camryn, a banquet and happy little Boone

My good friend Janet had her third baby girl on Friday. Sweet Camryn is just as adorable as her big sisters! Looks so much like them but might have darker hair.

We always love attending the Coaches Outreach banquet.

Double ear infections don't have nothin' on this litte guy!!

MHS Banquet

We went to the MHS football banquet a few nights ago.  I really do always love celebrating our season with a banquet.  This is now the 9th banquet I have gone to with Dave. They didn't start out so well.  I remember our first when we were "just friends" as I thought, it lasted 4 1/2 hours and I was breaking out in hives from a reaction to an antibiotic. Banquets have been much better since then. They aren't quite as long, I haven't gotten hives since and it's fun celebrating our team, the boosters and the coaches. These are some extraordinary iPhone pics.

Such a sad excuse for a picture, but proud Dave always has a way with words speaking about his boys.

Got to love those sweet kids that show their appreciation for the unsung heroes, their coaches.
And those awesome parents that tell your husband how much he means to their family.
We had a great season! We were quite the underdog going into this year but ended up 5-5 and one win away from the playoffs.  Very proud of how hard the coaches and players worked to get those five wins!  Lots of highlights from our season, but one of my favorites came after the season was over. There is a boy on our team who I know a lot about because one, he is great athlete, and two, he has not always made the best choices in behavior.  My husband and other coaches have poured into this kid through good and bad days, because that is what great coaches do. They love on the unlovable. It's easy to coach the well-behaved, hard-working, respectful kids, but the tough ones, that takes something more.  The point is...a few weeks ago this same kid called Coach Hall aside to tell him he had asked Jesus into his heart the night before. awesome.   I love that he wasn't too prideful or embarrassed, and that he knew Coach Hall would be so excited.  Just a memorable moment that we will not forget. What an impact a coach or teacher can make.

It was a great night celebrating the Lions!

Stuff lately...

Daddy and Papa worked through sickness, rain and cold to build us a new fence last week. It is looking awesome and I'll get some pics of the finished product when they finish up the last details. These two onlookers loved watching it all come together.

Last weekend we went to Fort Worth to see our friends Kirk and Marissa and celebrate their twin's first birthday. We claim to be the reason for these sweet babies since Kirk and Marissa met at our wedding. ;)

Marissa had an adorable Lady Bug party for Kanon and Clare.

Kanon loved it, Clare not so much.

I love Christmas presents that entertain for weeks after Christmas! Thanks Aunt Sissy and Junod crew!

Tink wants to get some Boone lovin' everyday.

So glad to have our healthy, happy baby back!

And...we have an army crawler on our hands! Uh oh!

They call this playing "parade" in Honey's car after school one day in the parking lot.

We miss our friends, the Shermans, who used to live just around the corner. We met them for Taco Tuesday this week.
