Happy NYE!

We had plans with some of our good friends tonight, but had to cancel. :( After Boone and I had the flu, Anna Lou came down with the it yesterday. She bounced back very quickly thanks to the tamiflu. Boone was too little to take it and I waited too long to realize I had the flu, so we were quick to jump on the tamiflu wagon with Anna Lou! But today, we found out Boone now has an ear infection. Goodness gracious! We have been so healthy all of 2012, but we made up for it the past few weeks!

Happy New Years from us! Here's to the start of 2013 being better than the end of 2012!

Christmas with Honey and Papa

We pushed through some not-so-fun sickies around here to have Christmas with Honey and Papa and Aunt Rosie. Some of us were looking a little ragamuffin-ish and not feeling up to par, but Honey had a beautiful lunch for us to enjoy.

Sweet little Boone was suffering from the flu that I must have spread to him. Anna Lou is always quick to bring him a toy to cheer him up. (ps- All five of us had our flu shot!)

Feeling rotten, but still smiling.

always such angels ;)

 Fun new game from H&P.

We were delaying the present opening with a game of bingo while Boone and Daddy were at the doctor. Honey had skittles for the markers on the bingo cards. That worked out well for Graham.

This is a Christmas for the books! Lots of sick folks, the kids looking a mess (i left their socks, pi's and some of their clothes in the dryer at home), rescheduled events, most of all MISSING THE JUNODS, but it's still Christmas and it's still special! We are blessed more than we deserve!

Off-Roadin'

Testing out their jeep in some snow.

They were ice cycles when they got home, but loved every minute of it!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to see Mema and Papa. Mema loves babies, especially her own great grandchildren!

The kids opened a few gift from Mema. Barbies are always at the top of AL's list!
 Papa and B
 G and his walking robot.
 B watching the horses.
We went outside for Papa's gift.
 They were pretty excited!!

The farm was the perfect place to test out their new jeep.
Driving by the back window to wave at Mema.
Now, G got a turn. Look out!

He loved to push the pedal, but took some time to get the steering part right. We may or may not have had some close encounters with a few trees.

Thankful for the gate or they may have ended up on the street.

circling the house
We left Mema's house and went out to lunch with Papa. Then the five of us went to the early Christmas Eve service at out church.

At home, getting ready for Santa.

Putting out the reindeer food.

Christmas morning is a little blurry to me as I was quite a bit under the weather. I did find a clinic open on Christmas Day and was able to see a doctor. It still was a wonderful morning watching the kids with their new gifts from Santa.

G loves his new cape.
AL put the Rapunzel dress on immediately!
The kids watched a Christmas parade, ate breakfast and played with their new toys. Daddy put on his Mr. Mom pants, took care of all three while I was gone for three hours at the doctor, and did everything else for the rest of Christmas Day.  We were planning to head to Honey and Papa's house for Christmas with them, but Honey is very, very sick, so that all is put on hold. We will celebrate more Christmas soon enough and stretching out the fun may even be better. Just as long as everyone is healthy again soon!!

Christmas in Houston...

We spent the weekend in Houston celebrating Christmas with MIMI and PawPaw, the Halls and the Chenoweths. Such a great trip with lots of family fun! Saturday morning we went over to Uncle Mike and Aunt Kim's for breakfast and to exchange presents with the little cousins.

 Go Frogs!
 Carter- almost 4, Emery- 5 1/2, Anna Lou- almost 5, Lily- 5 1/2, Graham- 3, Aubrey- almost 7.
Showing me his new "fast shoes" from MIMI. "Fast shoes" are a big deal in our house!

Matching boots from MIMI for the girlies.

 Frog wear.
B napped through most of the morning, but joined us later.
Saturday night all of the Halls and Chenoweths gathered at MIMI and PawPaw's.
 Matchy Matchy Cuzzies

 smiliest baby ever made.
The boys are always a fan of PawPaw's train.

Lighting the advent candles and scripture reading.

I love that MIMI's dinner is served in the garage. (Similar to the look of my garage. ;)

 Little cousin table.

Chocolate cake or key lime pie for dessert. Kids chose the cake!

Such sweet older cousins playing with the little ones.

Little elves started delivering the presents.

Mary is quite the thoughtful gift giver! Hers are always a hit!
Loving their new purses with lots of girly goodies inside!

Not very good pics on my part, but this is MIMI and PawPaw and their thirteen grandchildren. Minus Boone who was already in bed.

Oskie got to join in the party. This is a dog-loving crew!

Lots of bowling with the new bowl sets from Mary. The ball never did roll, just straight through the air to the pins. More like a fast-pitch softball. Thatta boy, G!
It was a quick, fast-paced weekend in Houston, but always worth the drive to be with our sweet Houston family.  MIMI and PawPaw always spoil us rotten, and always a blessing to be with everyone!
